4 out of 5 stars Very nice but ... it doesn't have Bluetooth   July 28, 2010
Lilian Perez Monroy (Caracas, venezuela)
So far, so good. I'm very happy with my Mini. I bought it because I had owned an HP Mini 1020 for over a year and was pleased with it. My change was because of more advanced technical specifications, such as: a bigger and faster HD(60GB vs. 250GB, muuuuuuch longer battery life (which means I don't have to carry the charger around anymore), prettier (it's red), VGA, ethernet and three USB connections, etc.
BUTS... I don't believe it: IT DOES NOT HAVE BLUETOOTH!!!! My other HP Mini, much simpler, had it. The Amazon product description said this one did but ... oh, surprise: no, it does not have it. That's why I gave it a 4 star rating. So what, I can live without bluetooth. =)

4 out of 5 stars Great Netbook   July 25, 2010
J. Blair (Ohio)
After getting my netbook, I may never use a regular PC again. I take it with me almost everywhere. It is easily carried and used on the go. I am very pleased with my purchase. Windows 7 is a good operating system and the screen is clear and easy to view. About the only drawback is that it comes with just Windows 7 starter which has less personalization available than the other versions of Windows 7. But it does offer Window Anytime Upgrade to make upgrading easier. All in all, a great netbook.

4 out of 5 stars HP Mini 210-1080NR   July 20, 2010
Linda Coleman (California)
Got this a month ago. So far so good. I love the size and portability. It is the perfect size to walk around the house and and tote in in your purse. The pre-install HP programs were a pain, my computer wizard brother removed and loaded with standard Windows office and made life easier.

It's a great little computer and meets my email and web surfing needs. The trade-off is the screen size is really, really, small and can be frustrating when trying to view a large page of web content. For the price its a great little tool!!!

4 out of 5 stars Great for moving around.. and quick use!   June 29, 2010
B. Drummonds (Winchester, VA)
I bought this as a more portable option to my HP Laptop.. and love it! The 6cell battery is truly what makes this netbook shine! The life it has is amazing.. I wish my laptop had the same battery! It does add weight to it.. but truly worth every ounce it adds!
This is a quick acting powerful lil computer. I have upgraded the "trial" version of Microsoft Office to the full student version I have on my other computers at home, and it moves thru files quickly.
It is easy to use, and the quick link feature for email, and quick webaccess is great for when you aren't really surfing for alot of sites.. just a quick glance at email or a recipe you saved.
I would like to be able to save small programs to the system. When I download stuff I always have to save to the memory stick.
A great product worth the price!

1 out of 5 stars Broadcom Wireless Issues with Windows 7   June 17, 2010
David Migl
The broadcom wireless card does not seem to work for those who have upgraded from windows 7 starter to another windows 7 edition. The wireless card connects fine initially, but after a period of 5-15 minutes the wireless card suddenly goes AWOL and no wireless networks can be seen. It appears as if the broadcom driver is conflicting with a windows service and windows shuts down the card after a while. I invite the reader to google "hp mini 210-1070nr windows 7 wireless" to verify that this is indeed an issue plaguing this laptop and not just an isolated incident.

Other than that it sure would be a nice little laptop. The cover design is nice and the screen is bright. Speaking of the screen, this had one stuck pixel out of the box.

Overall I have little time to devote to nagging issues like this as I am a college student taking a heavy load and doing research. I needed a netbook for the weekend to take some of my work with me on the road. Instead, I have lost one night of studying and several hours of sleep trying to resolve this issue to no avail. I am going to sell this netbook ASAP at a loss and try an Asus EeePC to see if that does any better.
